Year 6 competed in world maths day against 3000 school’s all over the world. There were 56 children competing from year 6 and we managed to do 304,659 questions.

The highest score in one minute from year 6 was 65 what kathryn rollet did. At the end of the competition we come 36th in the world wow!!!!!!!! And 2nd in the UK!

Here are some of the ghost stories my Literacy set told last Friday (inspired by my weird dream about a mutant caterpillar!)!

We had a fantastic day at wortley clc were whingate come third against five other school’s.

Our experament was about bio fuel’s we got viniger,lime juice and grape fruit juice to test which is the best bio fuel.The best were viniger and lime juice when we put it in a test tube and then put bicarbonate soda in after that we put a cork in as quick as we. Could then they both would mix together to produce a gas which would make pressure to push the cork out of the top the ruselts were two metere’s!!!

Today has been a fantastic day playing out in the snow. we built a giant snow ball!!
all the children had a war with the adults and Mr Myeres had the best shot along with mr Hunter in year 4.
